A closer look

The Aft Cockpit Lounge
Step onto the generous aft cockpit, an extension of the open-plan saloon. Here, the Caribbean breeze is a constant companion, rustling through your hair as you recline on plush, sun-drenched cushions. This is the heart of al fresco living, where morning coffees are savoured with the rising sun, and evening aperitifs are enjoyed under a canopy of stars. The gentle lapping of waves against the hull provides a soothing soundtrack to every shared moment.

The Forward Deck Trampolines
Beyond the mast, two expansive trampolines invite pure relaxation. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin as you stretch out, suspended just inches above the shimmering sea. This is the ultimate vantage point for spotting playful dolphins or simply losing yourself in the endless horizon. The gentle swell beneath creates a natural hammock, a perfect spot for an afternoon nap or a quiet read, far from the world's worries.

The Saloon's Panoramic Views
Bathed in natural light, the main saloon offers uninterrupted 360-degree vistas of the surrounding seascape. Large, comfortable sofas invite quiet contemplation or lively conversation, all within a climate-controlled environment. The polished timber finishes and subtle nautical accents create an air of understated elegance, a serene haven where the beauty of the Caribbean is always within sight, even when sheltered from the elements.

The Helm Station
For those with a keen interest in the art of sailing, the helm station offers a fascinating glimpse into the yacht's operation. Observe the expert crew at work, feeling the rhythm of the ocean and the power of the wind in the sails. This elevated position provides unparalleled views, a commanding perspective over the bow and the sparkling waters ahead, fostering a profound connection with the journey itself.

Integrated Swim Platform
Effortless access to the azure waters is granted by the integrated swim platform. Here, the boundary between yacht and ocean blurs, inviting spontaneous dips and refreshing swims. It's the perfect launchpad for water activities or simply a place to sit, feet dangling in the cool, clear sea, watching the colourful fish dart beneath the surface. A seamless transition from sun deck to sea.
Accommodation
Below deck, three beautifully appointed cabins accommodate up to six guests, each a private sanctuary of comfort. The layout is intelligently designed, offering privacy and peace. Crisp linens and thoughtfully chosen soft furnishings create an inviting atmosphere, ensuring restful nights after days filled with Caribbean adventures. Each cabin features its own en-suite facilities, providing a personal retreat where every detail contributes to a sense of serene luxury and quiet repose, a true home on the water.

The culinary journey aboard is a celebration of fresh, local flavours, expertly prepared by your dedicated crew. Dining can be enjoyed al fresco in the spacious aft cockpit, where the gentle sea breeze enhances every meal, or in the comfortable saloon. From vibrant breakfasts to elegant evening repasts under the stars, each dish is a bespoke creation tailored to your preferences, transforming every meal into an occasion.
While not boasting a dedicated spa, the yacht itself is a sanctuary for well-being. The warm Caribbean sun and the gentle rhythm of the ocean are natural healers. Find your inner calm with a session on the forward deck trampolines, or take a refreshing dip from the swim platform. The serene environment, fresh sea air, and opportunity for active water pursuits naturally rejuvenate both body and mind.
For those eager to immerse themselves in the crystal-clear waters, a selection of paddleboards awaits. Glide across the calm lagoons, exploring hidden coves and observing vibrant marine life from a unique perspective. The integrated swim platform provides easy access for all water-based activities, ensuring every moment on the water is one of exhilarating discovery and playful enjoyment.

He loves nothing more than showing his guests the beauty of the different islands aboard sailing catamaran ILLUSION.

Chrystelle Larroque
France · French, English
Chef/Mate Chrystelle Larroque Chrystelle is originally from Metz, France. Her father worked for an oil services company, so Chrystelle was able to live an international life in her youth. Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Scotland are some of her homes plus other French cities such as Nice and Marseille. As a student, she pursued many sports such as cross country, horseback riding, and swimming. On board, she enjoys helping guests discover underwater and nature around the boat. Chrystelle is an avid snorkeler, paddleboarder, and reader. Chrystelle studied at Ecole Hotelier in Toulouse; Pierre Gagnaire Paris and with Michel Guerrard at Eugeny les bains/Les pras dâ Eugeny. She also attended Lenatre (a culinary school in Paris), and worked with Bruno Delorme (Terre de Truffes). She learned the Michelin way of service in those 3 macaroon (star) places. After her interesting education, and before joining up with Bruno on Illusion in 2020, Chrystelle worked for 6 years as director of a luxury senior's house, complete with a lovely in- house restaurant. With such a background, Chrystelle's foremost cuisine is admittedly French. A favorite among guests is her fresh fish cooked "Al Forno" in a tasty Mediterranean style. Chrystelle is quietly available and her discreet style of service works well with Captain Bruno's friendly and entertaining presence. Her friends describe her as honest, kind, and dynamic and her motto is to always Enjoy Life!

What a yacht like ILLUSION costs to own — not just to charter
A charter week on ILLUSION is a fixed, all-in number. Ownership of a 14m yacht in this class is a five-year commitment — crew payroll, insurance, class and refit reserves, berthing and depreciation. Our yacht ownership vs charter vs fractional ownership study runs the real five-year cost of a €15 million yacht against the equivalent charter spend, and the most profitable yachts for owners ranking shows how much of that stack charter revenue actually recovers.
