Why Blue Ocean Club

Four reasons clients come back to us.

Curated selection, live availability, transparent pricing and concierge depth — the four things we insist on for every charter we place.

01

Curated yacht selection

We don't just show what's available. We match yacht, captain, crew and itinerary to your guests — the fleet is filtered before it ever reaches your inbox.

02

Live availability

Real-time calendars from operators worldwide mean faster confirmation, realistic options and no chasing yachts already booked.

03

Transparent pricing

Every quote breaks out base rate, APA, VAT, fuel, dockage and gratuity — line by line, before you sign. No hidden margins, ever.

04

Concierge depth

Hotels, jets, transfers, restaurants, beach clubs, event access and medical contingency — one manager coordinates the entire journey.

Yacht Charter Cost Guide 2026

The Blue Ocean Concierge

The Blue Ocean Concierge Experience.

We're not a charter desk. We're a private concierge — one dedicated manager shaping every detail of your journey, from private jet arrival to the last sunset on deck.

  • Private Aviation

Runway to passerelle without friction — private jets, helicopters and seaplanes coordinated in partnership with Limitless Sky. We stage transfers around your yacht's cruising plan, not the other way round, so a Nice landing meets a St‑Tropez tender in a single unbroken movement. Every leg is briefed to the crew before you wake up.

  • Bespoke Itineraries

Hand‑drafted, day‑by‑day routings tuned to your guests, weather windows and the quiet coves only locals know. No two weeks look alike — we balance beach‑club afternoons with anchorages you'll have entirely to yourselves. The plan flexes in real time when the wind, the mood or the guest list changes.

  • VIP Reservations

Beach clubs at peak season, members‑only restaurants, private gallery previews and regatta hospitality — arranged with a single call. Long‑standing relationships in every port mean the right table, the right berth and the right box, even when the city says it's full. Discretion is assumed, never negotiated.

  • Wellness & Family

On‑board yoga, spa therapists, marine biologists for the children and gentle adventures for the grandparents. Programmes are calibrated to every age and energy level, so nobody is dragged along and nobody is left behind. The week ends with the family closer than it started — that is the actual brief.

  • Culinary Curation

Michelin‑trained chefs, sommelier‑led provisioning and live musicians or DJs composed around the menu you actually wanted. We build each meal from your dietary lines, favourite producers and the morning's catch — never from a rotating charter template. Sundown becomes a set, not a service.

  • Transport & Security

Chauffeured cars, protective drivers and discreet close protection in every port — briefed, credentialed and quietly accountable. Movements are planned around paparazzi patterns, road closures and regatta traffic so you never wait and never feel watched. Security is present, never performative.

  • Special Occasions

Anniversaries, proposals, milestone birthdays and quiet family celebrations — staged with florists, photographers and, where it suits, pyrotechnics over the bay. Every element is rehearsed with the crew so the moment lands without a visible cue. You show up; the memory is already waiting.

  • 24/7 Concierge Manager

One person, one number, the entire journey — from the first enquiry to the final disembarkation photograph. They know your guests' names, your dietary lines, your itinerary and your quiet preferences by heart. When something changes at 2 a.m., they have already fixed it by breakfast.

★★★★★
The most considered charter we've ever taken. Every detail anticipated, nothing oversold. From the dawn provisioning run in Hvar to the last sundowner off Vis, the crew read our family perfectly.

Real-time availability changed everything. We confirmed a 45m yacht for the Riviera in 48 hours — the kind of turnaround we'd been told was impossible. The post-charter accounting was the cleanest we've seen.

Blue Ocean Club found a captain who understood our family — three kids, two grandparents, one teenager who wanted to wakeboard at 7am. We've already booked next summer, and the brief took one phone call.

We've chartered through three brokerages in the Mediterranean. Blue Ocean Club is the only one whose APA reconciliation matched the brief to the euro. The Amalfi week itself was the easiest seven days I've had all year.

Booked a last-minute BVI catamaran for a milestone birthday over New Year. The yacht delivered exactly as described — and the concierge layer (jet, helicopter transfer, dinner at a closed restaurant on St Barths) is what made the trip.

A second charter with Blue Ocean Club after Croatia in 2024. Sardinia delivered everything promised — Costa Smeralda berths held without drama, chef adjusted the menu mid-week for two extra guests, and the captain found us anchorages we'd never have asked for.

Three weeks in the Exumas with two boats running in parallel for an extended family. The logistics were invisible to us — fuel, provisioning, swap-overs at Highbourne all handled. The chef on the second boat is the reason we're rebooking for 2027.

August in Portofino is meant to be impossible. Blue Ocean Club's port agent held the berth, the tender slot, and the table at Da Puny. I don't know how — and I don't ask. We will keep booking through them.

Ten days from Phuket up to the Similans and back. The weather window briefing arrived before I asked, the dive guide was the right one for our group, and the broker never disappeared after deposit — which has been my experience elsewhere.

We had a very specific brief — no beach clubs, no megayacht parties, mostly quiet anchorages off Menorca and Formentera. Blue Ocean Club listened. The itinerary they built was the opposite of what most brokers tried to sell us.

We've chartered every summer for fifteen years. The chef on our Corsica yacht — sourced by Blue Ocean Club specifically for our dietary brief — is the best we have ever had at sea. The rest of the week was, as expected, faultless.

A two-week Grenadines crossing with two couples, sailing serious passages. The catamaran Blue Ocean Club placed us on was the right boat for the conditions — not the prettiest brochure, the right boat. That distinction matters.

Tahiti is a long flight and a logistical puzzle. Blue Ocean Club coordinated the inter-island transfers, the provisioning, and a marine biologist guide for our daughters. The yacht was met at the dock with everything in place.

A week off Ibiza and Formentera for an industry birthday. Blue Ocean Club kept the guest list off the dock and the boat off the wrong charts — which is a service in itself. The broker is the only one whose number I keep.

Christmas in St Barths is a circus and we knew it. Blue Ocean Club delivered a week that felt small and private regardless — every reservation held, every tender slot worked, and a chef who never let the same dish appear twice.

Most brokers can't quote Norway with confidence. Blue Ocean Club built a fjords itinerary, sourced an explorer yacht with the right ice rating, and arranged a guide who actually knew the routes north of Tromsø. It was the trip of a decade.

First year was a trial. Second year was the rebook. Blue Ocean Club's Ionian programme — quiet anchorages off Meganisi, the right tavernas, captain who didn't push the schedule — is exactly what we wanted and didn't think we'd find.

A Galápagos expedition charter for a family of seven, three generations. The naturalist guide was the right one, the permits were handled, and the broker briefed us properly on what an expedition charter actually feels like. No surprises.

We've chartered gulets twice before and learned the brochure lies. Blue Ocean Club sent us a survey of the actual vessel, the actual crew CVs, and a frank note on what the boat couldn't do. It was the first gulet week that matched what we paid for.

Frequently asked

Answers before you enquire.

01

What is included in a private yacht charter?

A crewed charter typically includes the yacht, professional crew, fuel for cruising (within reason), insurance and standard provisions. APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) covers food, drinks, fuel and dockage.

02

How far in advance should I book?

For peak summer in the Mediterranean and Christmas in the Caribbean, six to twelve months ahead is ideal. Off-peak and last-minute charters can often be arranged within weeks.

03

What is the APA?

The Advance Provisioning Allowance is a deposit (usually 25–35% of the charter fee) used by the captain to pay for variable expenses on your behalf — fuel, food, drinks, marina fees. Any balance is returned at the end.

04

Can I customise the itinerary?

Absolutely. Every Blue Ocean Club itinerary is bespoke. Your captain will plan around your preferences, weather and local conditions.

05

Do you offer last-minute deals?

Yes — we curate empty-leg and reduced-rate charters throughout the season. See our Special Offers page.

06

Are children welcome onboard?

Most yachts in our fleet welcome families. Many offer dedicated kids' toys, tenders and crew experienced with younger guests.
